I have 10 eight footers and love them. The ones that broke are the micros and shorter than 8 ft rods in our experience. Sensitivity is in the holder of the rod and their feeling capabilities. We fish with them in 18 to 20 ft with cast as far as you can throw and feel the slightest tick at that distance and depth. As far as weight they are not as heavy as some of these guys are dogging them to be. Only against their 300.00 rods They are great rods for the price period.

All of this reminds me of all the trash talking about the Carrot Sticks but they are still going strong. We all have our likes and dislikes. You'll never find the perfect rod for everyone. Best thing is go with you own choice and live with it. A new rod "Always" feels good to me but some other rod comes along that will "Always" feel better. We all own way too many, probably only fish with the same 4 or 5 most of the time. How many have good rods just sitting in the rod box most of the time ? Come on now, be honest !!!
Never test the depth of the water with both feet.

I have a Skeet Drop Shot rod.. and I like it a lot. I've caught a lot of fish with it and have no complaints on the sensitivity or the weight.. or anything about it really. Its a good rod.
BD Me too! The swimbait rods are nice, very versatile! They don't seem to make them anymore, had a heck of time finding a new one after my buddy stepped on mine. The "best rod" is the one you like and is in your budget

I think being coordinated on the water is very important, I would use them but would have to buy new jersey, flat bill cap and costas to match the yellow.

These rods may be the worst I have ever picked up.
I would take an ugly stick at $20 over these.

I own two and if you are going to spend around $100, i would go with a Falcon Bucoo. They are much lighter and more sensitive for the same price. Plus they crack easily if your partner decides to step on the handle. lol I stepped on it cause banana colored rods are UGLY as heck lol! Get a Bucuoo or mojo in 100$ or a 13 fishing Omen!

Id be using yellow rods if they were free... You say that but would you really? Some things are free because they should be. I can say this with 100% honesty , there is no free rod I would use over what I use and pay for no chance

I've been using them in the salt and fresh for about a year and I really like the distance I seem to get with the micro guides, sensitivity and durability for all the SR rods I own. Mostly using braid in the salt and fluro for the cranking rod but both perform very well. I'm not crazy about the color but they are easy to see and seem reasonably priced. I did break the Finesse rod by high sticking a bass from the bank but that was my fault. The warranty at Gander Mountain kicked in and I received my replacement without any hassle. I would recommend the rods to my buds but would encourage everyone to try them before buying multiples. I currently own the Drop Shot, Finesse, Crank, Worm/Jig and Top Water rods. Hey they catch fish!
