My 8th grade son has been doing great in school. so I want to take him on a road trip for a couple days of fishing. We normally fish saltwater for specs and reds, but he would like to go after a new fish. He wants to give stripers a try. I'm flexible on location, Texoma, Whitney, Tawakoni???

What are the best months to fish stripers. Are the summer months too late for stripers??

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks!!!

Texoma would be better for stripers
Lots of good guys up there... JD Lyle would be a good bet there

Hooking a fish is like playing string with a cat. The exact size, shape, color of string matters less than how you wiggle it- and little cats are easier to fool than big ones. John Gierach
