Iprefer a slip cork, the bass pro shops rubber and bead stops on the wire threader, more verstaility lick it and slides up and down on the line, can pull your jig up and let it fall again without to much movement of the bobber, can work areas slower and cover more water depths quickly , I don't like too pinch the line either from other types of corks I normally use 4 pound test and that where it always breaks at the pinch. if I use another cork it's normally a foam slip with a peg thats for supershallow fish and still easily adjustable. normally for 3 fow or less.

Slip bobber for the accuracy. Plus you can flip under a dock with the low water. Windy days , add a split shot. I double bead mine , it clicks my slip bobber when the jig hits the end and when twitched. Don't know if it helps, I like it.
Last but not least, do not , I repeat do not watch your bobber. Youll get more bites.

I use the fixed bobber. I like the egg shaped bobber because you don't have to set the hook, just start reeling. The bobber sets the hook when the crappie moves off with the groceries. I fish from the bank and use the "Dancing Bobber and Slow Retrieve" technique... Fills the stringer right up!

I hate it when I'm made to look up something and hate it even more when Google comes back empty. So I will bite. What is the "Dancing Bobber and Slow Retrieve" technique?

LOL When the bobber sits still for a few seconds, jiggle the end of your rod to make the bobber dance, then reel it in about a foot and do it again. the dancing bobber slow retrieve!

That's what I thought but it is better to ask and be sure than assume and turn out to be an idiot. When I return to the lake I am going to try the Wobble Bobber to see if it will add additional action to the bobber to entice a bite. Hopefully this will not turn out to be another advertised product designed to catch the fisherman instead of the fish.

Slip bobbers are the best as you can easily see the bobber move either up by falling on it's side or down under the water. The jerk, jerk action just lifts the jig slightly when you jerk since the line runs through the bobber. You will see the bobber pull toward you on the jerk. Then you can slow reel in a bit to move the jig a bit closer and repeat until the bobber no longer sits near the place you first cast.

I use Thill slip bobbers, never have tried the wobble bobber but I will pick some up and add them to my collection.

I guess I am the odd man out. During the spring I use slip corks for minnow fishing only. If I am using a jig and jigging in thick cover and move around pretty quick.
