I'm finally going to get a new graph!!! I need y'alls input on where you put yours. I'm buying an 859ci HD DI and currently have an H- Bird Matrix 67. Is it customary to have your better graph at the console or on the bow where you fish from. Thanks guys

I personally like the better one at the console.

I think it depends on how you fish but if your going to graph deeper structure you want it at the console.

i would ram mount it to the console, that way you can read the GPS while driving, and you could also turn it around to read while trolling.

It does depend on how you fish. But getting more capable electronics might change the way you fish. At the console with a RAM would provide the most versatility.

Console for me. . .I use the bow one but not for near the same purposes. The console one needs to be the best one imo.

Not trying to steal this post by any means,
But could y'all please describe the ram mount?
It sounds like an excellent idea, I would want the graph mounted at the console too,
but being able to view it from the bow would be great. Sure save a lot of steps going
back an forth.
Does it just spin around for easy viewing or does it extend out too?
Is it good an stable while running in rough conditions?

I plan on getting a new unit in the near future, an y'all guys are giving out some
more excellent advice.
Really enjoy reading thru this TFF site.
Thanks to everybody that ask an answers questions with an honest answer
God Bless You, an happy fishing year round

http://www.rammount.com/

It's just a very well designed mount that is detachable and adjustable. The best on the market. There are 1000s of variations.

All very good ideas guys thanks!!! The ram mount idea made my mind up. Never thought about just turning it around.
