I know a lot of people own these. What's your general opinion of the rods? I don't care what series, just the Skeet Reese signature line in general.

Wright and McGill doesn't scream quality in my mind, but maybe I'm wrong.

I have one Glass Composite cranking rod. I like it. Only paid $50 for it on clearance from Wallyworld.

I bought a couple to give them a whirl a few years ago. Waste of 100 bucks each. Save your money. Quality is poor.

I have some...I like em...got em when they first came out. I've had no problems with one. Snapped one in half due to getting the rod handle wedged between the motor and a tree...which was my fault. But other than that...no problems whatsoever. I like em.

I have 3 and use them for jigs and worms, they are a little heavier than what I normally use. I think that they perform just fine.

I have owned 7, broke 3 before learning to "never" swing a fish on board with them. They replaced all 3 for $30 each. Don't know why but I still like them ! 2 Senko/Frog and 2 jig/heavy worm rods. Crazy but it's just me.

I used to have a 7'3" jig/worm rod, and I thought it was pretty good for throwing a chatter bait into heavy grass.

I used to own a bunch a couple years back. Never had a problem except with the micro guide models. I don't know why but they just broke. I had one non micro guide worm/jig rod for Over Three years. heavy, yes but also pretty sensitive.

after buying several on sale half off and then using them side by side with my other rods I can tell you that they have zero sensitivity. I actually took all the ones I had not used back. IMO unless you are getting them for less than $70 or so then your best bets in a "cheaper" rod are as follows
1.13 fishing omen
2 Carbon Lite
3 Veritas
4 St Croix mojo
5. the lower end lews

I'm not super worried about price. I just see these rods - ALL THE TIME - on sale for half price or less. I figured something had to be up. If it's heavy I don't want it, period. If it's not sensitive I don't want it. Sounds like I'm gonna avoid them save the money i was gonna spend on two, and try out a new Ghost.

I have never owned any but know plenty that have or do and the best take I got out on them were some were ok and others were brittle as Ritz crackers and would break if you looked at them wrong. It would seem that there was little to no consistency throughout the manufacturing process over the years.
