My buddy and I were fishing earlier this year on the Red River just north of Clarks...as usual there were thousands of snakes but some of them were feeding on catfish this big and bigger...I didnt stick around to see if they got them down but I bet you could tell if one did...

I saw a smaller snake do this about 13 years ago. The stupid thing had taken the tail first. I'm sure he ended up quiting or died trying to eat it.
 Sometimes I think the world has gone completely mad. And then I think, "Aw, who cares?" And then I think, "Hey, what's for supper?"

Amazing sight! Saw the same thing at Amon Carter a year ago. Diamondback watersnake had a 10 inch channel cat. He worked it around to swallow it head first, then, after about a half hour, his powerful mouth muscles just folded the spines in and down it went. Awesome to watch!

The snakes were tryin to eat my catfish at sommerville last summer. it was a trip.
