SO, Asking for suggestions and ideas.. I have looked at a few Bluetooth speakers like the Bose. And a few others but have not really looked into it that much.. I want TUNES in my boat this year.. Bought a new boat last year.. No radio or speakers.. Dont really want to cut any holes but open to any and all suggestions... I was thinking about just buying a Bluetooth speaker and connecting my phone and letting Willie, Waylon, Stoney, and Randy serenade me while I jerk on some upper lips... any ways suggest away fellas on what you all have done to get tunes while fishing... I have actually thought about a nice headset but I think that having a headset on will keep me from hearing my surroundings and could and would be dangerous... GO!

Bluetooth speaker would be my opinion...small, functional and good sounding. Walmart has em for 29.99.

We have a Bose Sound Wave Bluetooth speaker. Played some American Aquarium yesterday on the water. Nice way to chill out. Don't always want music but nice to have once in a while.

I used to have a docking station but I didn't like having my phone attached to it all the time. I just recently bought a UE Boom (bluetooth connection)and it works great! It's a little pricey ($200) but it's water proof, works as a speakerphone if you get a call and it has a 15 hour battery life. It has amazing sound for it's size and doesn't have to be pointed in a certain direction to hear it.

LOL... I am not sure I understand why people wanna listen to music when they are out in nature, so my suggestion is to get some headphones and drive on... that way the rest of the fishermen who are out there for the peace, quiet, and serenity don't have to listen to you bumping the latest Bieber hits as you drive by with your 10,000 watt dual amp powered 15 inch subwoofer

Fail. Way to show your opinion on anyone that likes to listen to music while fishing. After all you fish because it's fun right. Guess it's wrong to have music as part of your fun.

Ok ok ok... maybe it is not a crime to listen to some music at a reasonable volume, but I am thinking more about these fellas I am used to seeing on lake Austin with stereos you can hear for 5 minutes before the boat even passes by...

if it is a small boombox or something that basically only the passengers of the boat can hear, then I guess it is a different story all together...

I understand and I would not want to blare my music onto someone else.. I fish a lot during the work week and for relaxation.. Plan on fishing a friendly Tuesday night turney this year on a local lake thats about it.. I do it for fun.. you are right There are A lot of times that I love the peace and quiet. But also some times that I get a buddy in the boat and we get on some fish and are having a good old time and just want some tunes.. nothing blaring and by no means sub woofers.... just something loud and clear enough that I can hear it from the console area to the front deck.. thats all.. And if I am in an area with a bunch of people sure Ill turn it off or down.. I can respect other people sir and still enjoy music when i fish..

these are about 200 right Mark? is the sound loud enough .. again dont want to blare all over the lake just loud enough to hear all in the boat and thats it.. I would rather pay for a good speaker one time and have good quality music then pay 50 bucks for something that sounds like [censored] and distorts if i turn it up loud enough to hear

Actually come to think of it, maybe a huge stereo is the way to go -- that way you could just turn up some loud music when you find someone occupying your favorite hole, and it just might make em move on a little quicker... lol

As for a recommendation for something small, have you tried your phone? these new smartphones have pretty decent speakers, and you could just throw it in your shirt pocket or something (also, you could use a streaming service like pandora to keep fresh jams playing all day)

Isound makes an affordable option...29.99.....if you have a walmart close by you can check them out. The 200.00 setup will likely be too much if you want to just listen to tunes and not disturb others. But then again everything sounds louder in a cove!
