That definitely looks like a pond. You can see the drain in the pic. Probably got really fat eating trout and small channel cats during the annual stockings. It is amazing to me how a cat like that substains itself in a pond. My guess it probably has been eating ducks and birds.

My guess it probably has been eating ducks and birds. as long as there are bass and or sunfish in that pond, even snakes, that fattie flatty had plenty to eat on.....not saying it would taking the occasional duck or duckling.
