Caught one at Caddo once. Didn't know what is was. I had caught plenty of Northerns in Minnesotta in the past and couldn't for the life of me figure how one of those guys got down here.
Another reason I enjoy sunnies, they're pretty

Uh Sorry bout the improper identification of fish species. Perhaps it would be best for you to create another post for those huge Muskies and leave this thread to the smaller cousin the Chain Pickeral.
Also, to the guy who said that I was talking smack from Florida well, not exactly. I have been a member of this forum for a long time and used to live in Lewisville,TX and others have asked me to post pictures of Chain Pickerals since most do not catch them in Texas. So when I caught a decent sized one I thought I would post it for you guys.

I call them Jackfish and they are in just about every East Texas lake. I caught when at lake Athens when I was a kid. I never haveeaten one but I bet they are good.

"Hammer handles"...they are good but not worth the effort to clean for eating...too boney (Y-bones). Can't fillet them out...

My brother-in-law and I caught 5 of those on Lake o the Pines Saturday. We could have caught many more if we had tried. They were up shallow in the dying lilly pads. They would come after a top water like a shark. You could see them swimming up to it right before the hit...pretty cool.
