the question asked about Mexican food places everything listed is TexMex It's pretty much a foregone conclusion when Texans discuss Mexican cuisine they are talking about Tex-Mex not "authentic" Mexican food.

Armentas in San Angelo. There is a little place in Presidio, can't remember the name, but there aren't too many in Presidio to choose from. Their food is outstanding especially their Flan.
At least my boat and truck are paid for, woo hoo!

I tried El Jalisco in Hillsboro the other day. DO NOT GO THERE...unless you need to use the bathroom. Seriously, the restroom was the cleanest I've ever seen in a restaurant bar none. The food was mediocre at best. The salsa was okay, but bland. It actually might have been good if there was any flavor whatsoever. It was a bit chunky which I like, but no taste. The chips tasted old and stale. The tea tasted a few days old and was just not good. The chile relleno was supposed to be filled with beef. Instead, I got a chile relleno stuffed with cheese placed on a very small amount of beef...not what I ordered. The salad is just strands of lettuce with some tomatoes and a few very thin slices of avocado. Again, not what I expected. The rice was the best of the food I ate...and it was just okay at best. The service was slow and the waiter was inattentive. I won't be back. Whats that place in Hillsboro across 35 from the outlet mall that looks like an old DQ? Has some truck parking behind it? That place was pretty nasty!

Johnny I'm convinced that people go there for the margaritas and the ability to say they go there.

My vote is for "The Jalapeno Tree"

That place was pretty nasty! That's El Jalisco. Not bad on the inside, at all...like I stated before, you won't find a cleaner bathroom in most restaurants. The food, however, was not good.

Taqueria Jalisco in Mansfield. Need to have Kattelyn go by and verify. Good little hole in the wall off 157 in old downtown Mansfield. Try the menudo or mexican barbecue if you go on Sunday.

Mi Charrito Ray http://micharritoray.com/Westcreek Blvd Fort Worth TX There are no better sour ceam chicken enchiladas on planet earth. In fact, this is the best Tex-Mex I've ever eaten in my life anywhere. Food always comes out H O T and is still hotter when you take your last bite than the other places are when they first hit the table. Get he chicken enchiladas..get everything...you'll be in heaven. Free sopapillas for dessert. My family has been eating here for 30 years. No better or more consistent tex-mex in the world and I don't say that lightly
