I know this has been brought up here before but I wanted to address it in a different light. I am a budget more than name brand style type man. I would like a good quality pair of polarized glasses that won't break the bank. This being said if the higher end glasses are worth the extra $$ for a good reason then I am interested. I am a large headed man and that has to be considered. Any help with your reasons will be greatly appreciated. Lens colors and when to use which is also one of my questions. It is sight fishing time and I need every edge I can get as bad as I fish.

Walmart has/had on sale some Berkley Polarized Sunglasses for $11 here.
Have you looked at those?
They are plastic/polycarbonate.....and I can't really testify YET as to how they will help in helping us 'sight fish'....that is what I'm looking for as well as for protection from the sun.
Just a thought..

My sunblock always ruins those cheap $11.00 shades.
They are also easy to scratch up.
I'll go through a pair every month.

I have Oakley's now and they've lasted a year so far

Sunblock and sweat will ruin ANY frames. The good thing is companies like Costa will set you up with a brand new set of frames for $11 for shipping.

I picked up a pair of Typhoons at the Classic and have been very impressed.
They were knocking $10 off, so I got some for around 60 bucks. Will be
my optics of choice from now on. I'm finally glad we have some nice options
nowadays rather than having to spend $200.

Costas are pricey but you cant beat the quality, warranty And customer service. I love mine and probably wont buy another pair of sunglasses for several years

I have a big head aswell and wear Oakley polarised fuel cells, they work very well for the price, picked them up brand new from an authorized Oakley dealer on eBay for 89.99 shipped, scratched one lense a while back and Oakley replaced them for free, just a hassle to fill out the warranty paper and send pictures in but for free replacement you can't complain

Have you looked at the Strike King lineup? I use these mostly and Berkley's as a backup. The SK's go from about $15 to $30 and the Berkley's may be a little less. The SK's seem to allow you to see through the water a little better.

Thanks for all the input I really appreciate it. Can you give me some examples of pros and cons?

I know Costas are very expensive.
But after receiving my first pair last week, all I can say is "WOW".
They're indeed worth the money, plus you get a lifetime warranty.

I got the 580G SaltBreaker Model with Green Mirror Lenses.

They immediately put my $30 Strike King Polarized glasses to shame.

I've worn costas and oakleys my whole life and recently bought a pair of the strike king s11. I'll never go back to a high dollar pair again. These S11's are top notch. Comfortable, great vision clarity, and so far the couple times I've sight fished this year they have been fantastic. Even took them along with a pair of costa 580g in the boat one day and I couldn't personally tell a difference in clarity.
