Just wanted to share a few photos from back home in Louisiana. These were taken on Blind River. I live in Houston now and sure miss fishing in the basin and swamps....enjoy!

Catfish I'm sure of, carp don't really know. That place is teaming with hugh aligator garfish. Hundred pound plus swimming in that river! They have a rodeo every year for them.

My buddy was fishing a St Jude's Benefit tourney there about three weeks ago and landed an 8lb largemouth setting a new tournament record not too far from where those pics were taken.

I'd love to catch a 100 pound plus gator gar. I'd want to do so on rod and reel though, get a weight, a photo, and release him. Awesome lookin' swamp. Wouldn't surprise me if there were some huge carp in there too, they seem to be just about everywhere down south lol.
