I wonder what 10,000 trout would cost to put in fork? just a thought. The fish in Fork have no shortage of food. There are several lake in California that kick out giants every year and they don't have any trout in them. Fishing pressure is keeping Fork down.

That is one of the few fish the Elite Series guys could hook, say "OH GOD, IT'S A GIANT", and not be lying...just sayin'.

Don't hold it like that it will break its jaw and die then no one else can ever catch her and she won't lay more eggs to Produce more offspring... Man come on u think people from Cali would be more liberal and care bout the bass more...  I haven't witnessed broken jaws on fish I kept as pets that were one handed. Dottie was hoisted off a dock by a rope tied to her jaw and was caught again. What is the deal with this? I know TPW put out a flier about it, but I haven't seen any issues personally...keeping them off the carpet is more of an issue. Anyway, I have a tree to hug. Good night yall.

That's not even a lake record! Don't get me wrong it's a nice bass and bigger than any bass that will be caught in texas this year or years to come!! Some guys out there won't even turn that bass in if it isn't a lake record.

Probably no coiincidence that tiny Tyler State Park lake has produced 2 SALs.

It still amazes me that a bigger one hasn't come from private waters where with enough money, you can have a limited number of bass gorge on tilapia, bluegill, golden shiners, and threadfin shad all summer long and then feed these same fish trout just like the californians do in those lakes.

There have been many fish over 17 pounds caught in private lakes in Texas, but you'll never hear about it.
