I am in search of a Sage TXL 000. A combo would be great with a reel (Sage Click 0, Danielsson Midge, BVK 0, or other) and line but a rod only is fine. Let me know if you have one you are willing to part with.

Going off the deep end with the ultra-ultralight stuff. I did too smile

I had a custom made 0 weight on a Dan Craft blank that I sold a while back that I shouldn't have. I was thinking the TXL could fill that void and be a bit faster of a rod than that Dan Craft 0 I had. I typically like faster rods.

Looks like fun, but it about warped me payin $150 for a Pearow special 2 wt. I'd look like one of them hip-hoppers on crystal meth if I tried to pay 600 to a grand for a combo. It'd make St. Vitus' dance look like a slow waltz.

I ain't knocking you for wantin' one. I just had some funny to impart. Good luck in your search.

It's a fun little rod -- highly specialized, but enjoyable in the right situations. I had a rodmaker custom make one for me from a Sage blank. Small trout and panfish in light wind take on new strength.

Yeah, I want it to go after bluegill and small bass. We have dozens of ponds within a few miles of the house that are loaded with them.
