Drove by it on my way to work this morning and as I came around off of Robertsons rd I saw an unusually larger number of trucks and cars. More than the average 2 or 3 I see on any given Saturday. They were lined up and I saw one guy at the gate taking the locks off. Is it a family affair or might this be a regular thing open to the public? I would like to go back and ask, but, as many of you know, one has to pay the bills. If anyone has a chance or if anyone knows please chime in. I for one would like to see it open up again, but maybe this time the public will keep it cleaner than before.

Don't think it's been open for years, heard some bad stuff going on there, but could be wrong though.

Its been closed for a while. It used to be the place to be in its hayday. Always heard stories of "me and my paw-paw would go there" and "my grandaddy taught me how to fish there". Now you just don't hear anything.

The gate was locked up when I went by at 330 and returned by it at 645

I was kayaking up there saw people fishing on the property ask them they told me that the owners don't care if you fish the place you just gotta walk can't drive in .... 3 people told me the same thing

I have to say that I couldn't go into the property as tempting as it has been in the past with just the word of a few guys. I would have to walk on the side of caution and hear it from the property owner. I should have made a quick u-turn to see if that was him unlocking the gate. How far up the creek were the bank fishers, Bigdoon? Maybe walking up to the house to ask would be possible, but I figured no one lives there any more.
