As I have been looking for higher end rods, there have been many who have recommended Dobyns rods. I decided to put out some e-mails to various rod manufacturers and ask them about their rods. Well, of all the ones I put out so far, the only one who actually e-mailed me back was Gary Dobyns himself. I haven't even put one of his rods in my hands and I can't personally attest to the quality of his rods but, it was impressive that he actually bothered to respond to me (unlike anybody else so far). It was good to actually here from the owner himself. I was actually expecting to get some form of "canned" mass email that gets fed out to anybody that emails but, as you could actually tell from the way it was written, it was he himself that emailed back. It does lend credence to the "customer service" aspect of his operation.

Rods are hard to beat !!!!!!!!plus if you break one $60 and you get a new one even if its your fault it broke. Thats also hard to beat!!!!

Big C If you plan on fishing any heavy cover, brush, or trees in places like Falcon I suggest making one of those rods a CHAMPION SERIES 736. I can tell you from experience that rod will get the job done.

I have recently experienced their customer service and they absolutely won me over with their quick response and great service. I liked their rods already - I love them now. I will definitely continue to fish Dobyns.

Dobyns rods are the best rod I have used and have just about weeded out all my Falcon rods for Dobyns the customer service is the best just great all round people and company. You wont be disappointed in useing their rods I can promise you that.
