I know it's not fishing, but I saw that the Regatta is on next month, and I'm wondering if it would be suitable for a beginner to try.

I have a WS Ride 135, but I've only had it out three times on a small, calm local lake. I'm concerned that trying to paddle 15 miles across Houston might be a little ambitious...

Any thoughts?

Mac

I'm going for it.

Worst case, I can't finish and have to exit the bayou and call for a pickup. If I can finish, it sounds like a great experience! We'll see if I'm fit for this, and I'll be posting a report of whatever happens...
