what part of Houston? lake Houston and Sheldon res are real close to the city. Also Below lake Houston on the San Jac river. Big eddy is right there also. You can fish all south of there in various locations. Jessie Jones park in Humble also

Tom Bass III is supposed to have some good bass in it, but they are highly pressured and highly educated.

You won't find anything in Lake Houston and Sheldon Res. is mainly dried up. Parts of it are extremely low. Just checked it out about a month ago and it's closed off. Sorry.

i beg to differ i fish these two quite often with sheldon being one of my favorite bass fisheries in houston area lots of bass over 8 come out of that place all the time it just takes a while to figure the lake out. I can not tell you how many times i have walked up to the lake while someone else was fishing and caught one over 3 pounds within the first 3 cast..
