That's crazy. I've seen small whirlpools in the river back home where the tidal currents mess with the flow, but they're nothing like that video. Looks like the whole lake is draining through that thing!

I would have tied a gopro onto some line and thrown it in there, just out of curiosity, to see what was at the bottom...

I would not be hanging out around there. I would be afraid that whatever void is under there would get bigger. Kind of like what happened in the swamps of Louisiana where it was swallowing up huge cypress trees. That some crazy stuff!

The explanation is actually simple.

It's curious because the video clip shown is out of context and doesn't show where the camera is standing.

The filming is done on a road and the water is going under to the other side of the road.
