Took off work Wednesday to hit Fayette Co Lake. Caught 9 fish, the biggest being the one below. laugh Caught it on a C-rigged 6" zoom lizard in 12' of water in the trees.

My new Skeeter boat is doing me right!!!

What model Skeeter did you get? Horsepower? Your set up?
Did you get it from South Austin?

I love the skeeter! It's a 05 TZX 200 with a 200 HPDI. Got it at South Austin Marine. I've been messin around quite a bit with the motor height, best run so far has been 70.5mph on the GPS. That was with me only, 3/4 gas, all my gear and empty livewells. I'm only turning 5400 rpms so I know she has quite a bit more in her.

I also have the '05. I think I saw you the other day fishing the cove at Oak Thicket. Nice rig! laugh

I never touched the jack-plate. I am suprised you had to. Mine was dead-on from the factory and required no adjustment.

See you at Fayette!

Hey Greg, that was me, I'm sure! The only reason I'm playing with the jack plate height is because I have the new 200 HPDI with the low water pickups and bullet nosecone, so I can run the motor really high compared to how it came form the factory. Right now I have the propshaft even with the pad, but I am not happy with how the boat handles with the really high setting. So I am playing around with it quite a bit to try and find the "sweet spot".

Hope to see ya at fayette again.
