We went to see my Grandma and she lives on Lake Tyler. Even though the lake was extremely low, we managed to do a little fishing. My daughter caught her first fish!!!  Here is her first pole. My MIL bought this one...I was going to take her straight to a Abu Garcia baistcast...but this one will do for now  Her 1st Fish   I was very surprised she wanted to touch the fish. She is very "girly"...she sees an ant and freaks out. So I guess there is still hope to open up my father-daughter fishing guide service.
There's a fine line between fishing and just standing on the shore like an idiot.

Awesome. I am taking my daughter for her first boat ride when we go on vacation this year. She already has her pink life jacket. Cannot wait for her to start fishing.

 Great photos! I'm looking forward to teaching my grandaughter the same thing very soon. You guys need to bring the little one to the CABA Family Day outing, the last Saturday of August at the East Fork pavillion on Lake Lavon. She would have a GREAT TIME! Good feeling huh? Taking my 5yr old son on his first (mine to) guided shark fishing trip on Saturday, he is counting down the days.

Awesome. Go to the TPWD website and find the fish records area. There is a place to email Joedy Gray about her first fish.
She will get a cool certificate from TPWD free
