Not like it used to be, but some may get by, or still be in there....
We need some rain

Does it even have enough water to connect to the lake anymore?

Thanks for the info PHish. I'm up there every year but last year was rough, this year looks even worse.

I would just plan to fish wind blown points. I doubt we will get enough water to make it worth trying the creek

Looks like Trophy Club took over the park. I use to live right off Marshall Creek road. Much different back then. We use to do a lot of 4 wheeling in that park. Buddy of mine cut the trail from the park to the beach. I think it was mored like blazed the trail. Is the old Ranger still visible or is so mud encrusted that you cannot tell what it is?

Is the creek has channel deep enough to get a Kayak in? Then Sandy can get in also, right?
(I know just not as good as with a lots of water.

I'm sure the creek tself has plenty of water to float a kayak but the sandies have to get from the lake to the creek to "stock" the creek with spawners. I'm not sure how much water is at the actual creek mouth or if that's dry.

Went Tuesday afternoon at the 377 bridge down to the pipeline going under the creek. There's some water, but...Nada sandy to be found and was there all by myself. Did manage to catch 1 big female crappie and 2 good males. But that was it.

PHish's photos just about tell it all, thanks for posting. The images show that the lake's low pool level and the creek's low flow have combined to effectively isolate the creek from the lake. PHish's images from the "yellow dot" are of the lowest of two shoals that have less than 2" of water flowing through them. The creek has zero flow at the USGS monitoring station at Justin, so the only flow at those shallow shoals is being provided by wastewater discharges from Justin and from the Trinity River Authority's Denton Creek wastewater treatment facility. If you've been on the creek anytime in the last few months, you'll know what I mean if you have a functioning nose. Properly treated wastewater, though technically very clean, has a very distinct chemical odor.

I sure do wish we'd get some rain.

FYI, PHish has also posted an image of the end of the boat launch ramp. Half of the ramp's end is bone dry and the ramp is officially closed. One can still hand launch a kayak or small aluminum boat there, but please exercise caution if you are planning on backing even a small boat trailer in to launch. The dropoff at the end of the paved ramp is around a foot and a half to the mud bottom.
