I wanted to get permanently mounted nav lights installed, plus a real horn (stock one sounded like a moped horn), the 4G radar and Point 1 GPS heading sensor. So took it the boat back to Doug and Kat and I just got it back. Everything works perfectly and looks great. Doug really takes care of all the small details. I also added more drink holders and had the VHF radio connected to the NMEA network so it can transmit GPS coordinates in case of an emergency.

Here's a couple of pics. www.nauticalstuff.com

The lights are Coast Guard approved and LED. You can see them even with a commercial light on.

They mount right on the rub rail and don't stick out much.

Do you have contact info and address for "Doug and Kat". I would like to discuss some additions to my rig.

Wow, Radar and bow lights. Doug and Kat do great work. The radar dome compliments that great looking t-top they built for you. You are prepared my friend.

When you get a chance record that horn and drop it in here as a wav file. I have a Bose sound system hooked up to my computer and I will blast my wife with it when she walks through the door and tell her we need one. I definitely want the perm mounted running lights.

That was me! Got the shop that morning and one of the tires was low. They took care of me in about 30 minutes, those dudes over there are great.

Thank you guys!

Terry, the horn is a double tone 120db electric. No air lines but sounds like it. My little boy jumped what seemed like 2 feet when I first hit it. I don't get why they use those moped horns on boats this big.

ChuckM and Whiskey Bob showed up yesterday at the shop and helped me run the transducer and power cable to the Onix. I went ahead and installed a separate fuse block for the electronics and labeled all the wires with heat shrink labels from Brady. That's the coolest thing, you have this handheld printer and it prints on white shrink tubing with bold black letters. You then slide it on the cable/wire and heat it up. Looks factory and keeps everything from getting too confusing.

Going to hit the water today to test out the equipment.

I can't even tell you how difficult it was to run the networking cable from the Terrova to the Humminbird in my console. They don't have tubes, wiring traces or pulls of any sort in my Viper 220 Sea Fox. It took around 10 hours to finally figure that out. Thankfully Jeremy, a boat mechanic in our area helped me out! 40 years ago when I worked R&D for Hughes we used similar tubing to mark the wires in some Northern Sea Oil Rigs we built.

Mine has a huge pvc pipe on the side to run wiring but the connector for the transducer is huge.

We called Sea Fox, no conduit channels like that on my make and model. You would have thought they would have done that at the manufacture.

Diel who had the wire marker? Sounds like a neat shop tool that I just have to have.

Blue Tuna sorry to hear you had so much trouble running the network cable from the bow to the console. Can't believe manufacturer did not have a chase of some kind to the front of the boat from console. Sounds like you finally made it work.
