Lake Palestine is fishing pretty good right now. The cooler weather has slowed the bite some as far as numbers go, but the big bite continues to be good. Most of my fish are coming in 3 to 5 ft of water on the outside of spawning areas. I am throwin a mixture of squarebill's rattletraps, and tx rig beaver type baits. I was seeing 63 degree water last week but it has cooled down back into the high 50's now. I had the pleasure of taking Robert fishing on Monday and he got his new personal best at 7.25. He caught her on a 1\4 oz red eye shad in 4 ft of water. The crappie bite is also pretty good on the North end of the lake. I have had two good trips and put some nice slabs in the freezer. I fished on Tuesday alone since no one wanted to brave the cold rain. I managed several nice chunks with the biggest being 7.84. I hope everyone has a good week. Jason

Beautiful Palestine fish.

I've been catching some pigs myself. Up to about 8 pds. Told my friend about a spot he went there and caught a 10.22 last sat in a 3 fish tournament. He had over 21. And won it.

Yes sir Jason is right , it is getting real good right now on Palestine. There are a lot of fish stacked in just a little deeper water around the 6 to 8 foot mark just waiting. Even in areas that friends tell you about lol.

Yep its about to get real good, that is if this dang cold weather will ever leave. Its always nice to have friends to share info with. Thats a very stout 3 fish stringer.
