Seems like if it's cold for a while, I can catch fish. If it's warm for a while, I can catch fish. But this cold one day, hot the next, etc, etc, seems to turn the fish off. Anyone else notice this? Thanks.

The only way to beat the weather in the spring time is to go as often as you can! Trying to pick the best days just doesn't work in the spring time, and even the weather guessers get it wrong from one day to the next.
Just one more cast!

It's been hit/miss all winter long. I have been having the same results. During a steady cold streak I can find em. during a steady warm streak I can find em. However two days of cold weather followed by three days of warm weather in my opinion has scattered the fish. Like "Jimbo" stated you just have to keep fishing through the weather changes and not wait for steady conditions. Side Note: One thing for certain we need a LOT of RAIN and we better start getting it NOW or we are in for one long dry summer!

Water temperature plays more of a factor than the weather when it comes to fish bites and patterns. However based on what I have been reading it seems that a lot of anglers have been having trouble in getting persistent bites this winter. It has been an quick changing weather pattern this winter for sure. Cold and Ice one day and short sleeve and hot the next. Only in Texas.

Been having the problem with consistent good days of fishing since winter. I agree. This hot and cold ever changing weather pattern has the fish moving and scattered. Side Note: Another quick cold front will be here Sunday and then it's back in the eighties by the weekend.

Wonder how this latest cold snap will effect the bite. Spawn is right around the corner. Also got some rain. We need a lot more. At this point I will take all the rain god can give weather a lot or not. Any amount is better than none. Keep praying for RAIN!

Out of all the species of fish I fish for, Bluegills, Sunnies, etc, are the ones that seem affected by the weather the most. Glad to see I'm not the only one who's having a hard time finding them in this hot/cold weather pattern. Of course I fish only from the bank, so I'm sure peeps with a boat might have an advantage finding them in deeper holes on colder days. One thing I haven't tried is chumming them in this cold weather. A few crackers crumbled up really gets em going so perhaps the fish are "there", but just need a jump start? lol...

I mainly fish from the bank or docks also. I fish from a boat every now and then but most of the time it's by bank. I kind of like it that way. It's just me.
