Thinking about getting one for a trip to Panama. Is the Go Pro Hero 3+ Black worth $100 more than the Go Pro Hero 3+ Silver. Why?

I see the biggest difference being the wifi remote that is included with the black (but an app on your phone can act as a remote now so it's not a huge deal).
Otherwise it comes down to a few extra options such as:
Silver does 10mp stills at up to 10fps
Black is 12mp stills at up to 30fps
Black also gets a 15fps "4k" resolution option which I haven't even tested because I want 30 or 60 fps (which I get with 1080p).

Honestly I think due to the app for the phone the controller has become a requirement for only certain sports. In saying that one must also realize how quick it drains your phone battery.
I have a hero 3 black,not the 3+, but I really only use the controller for bow hunting or when I want to set the camera more than 100-600 feet from me.
I say 600 feet because they say that is about the maxium range for the controller.

I have a Silver Edition and just got a Black Edition Hero 3+.
Will use both for crappie fishing.
I have a Facebook Page that I post sports events.

I have 2 Hero 2's and a 3+, and really can't tell a difference. I like them all. Just get lots of batteries and memory cards!
