You dont have to be single to have a walk in closet with a rod rack and golf clubs in it, all you need to do is keep it in the living room for a while and then when she bitches about it offer to move it into the closet... worked for me....

I need to figure out how to get my wife to let me cook bait in the house when she's home. For some reason she hates it when I boil 5 gallons of deer corn in our kitchen after its been soaking all night.

If your wife will not let you have a walk in closet rod rack tell her that you are just going to have to purchase a lay down rod rack!! Installed in a new 45,000.00 Bass boat of your choice!!!!! That should do the trick :-).

Worked for me too with the golf clubs. I dont mind the poles being in the garage, but not the clubs.

Not quite an advantage of being single! The only advantages of being single that I can think of, have nothing to do with fishing!!!!!! Your closet is just the beginning, Eventually you will have a whole room dedicated to fishing and your passions. Once upon a time, I used the garage but now have my own fishing room!

why do you keep your rods tucked-away in a closet? mine are in the family room where everyone can see them! (...of course, my hubbie keeps telling me to move them to the garage...)

The trick is DONT ASK, just do it. If she's alright with it good. If she's not just say "I'm sorry I won't do it again"
