what baits do ya'll like to cover a lot of water with to find spawning fish? small cranks, beetle spins, roostertails, jig and bobber? thinkin I might have to cover a lot of water to find fish with the lakes being so low and all. find the fish, then switch to jigs for them...

Joe Pool is not very low this year. So I think I will just cruise around on weekends, looking for all the other boats fishing for them, then go back during the week and fish those spots. smile

Actually I will be setting out this spawn unless they spawn in late April. Which is possible if these cold spells keep coming from the north. frown

But I like rooster tail or mini-crank bait if I am trying to cover a lot of water. However I would start with a good lake map before I went to the water, trying to find spots to try at the current water levels.
