A few days ago I found four channel cats dead in the pool. All of them were in the five pound range. They had been about half eaten by turtles, but not sure what killed them. Freeze maybe? Any ideas

You have catfish in your pool?

And turtles!?

I would guess the cholrine killed them.

If you live in a gated area or city that cares for your pond..If they put weed for cattails or moss killers in the water that will kill the fish if too much was used..it takes the oxygen out

That's a good thought but shouldn't be the problem since it's on my farm. The only fish affected seem to be catfish.

If you don't have frogs in a farm pond in Texas you have problems. Not sure what it is, but something's going on. Do you have weeds in the pond?
