Very hard to come by at the moment. Most guides are fishing artificals. Even the catfishing has slowed way down.

We're staying at catfish bay. Looking for shad for our jug lines. I'll be throwing artificial for the stripes.

The bait was out in the river channel in 50-60 fow last week. I tied an extra rope to the end of my 10' net and pulled net fulls of 6-8 inch gizzards. I tried this on the North end and West end of the lake with the same results.

On bright days the shad will move up shallow in the coves to seek some sun rays/warmer water. Stained water will warm a bit faster so don't overlook it in the backs of the coves. I pulled bait from Newberry Creek all winter but as of 2 days ago. It was still N/A.

As above mentioned. Bait catching's a bit tough right now and we really don't know the extent of our shad kill. All I've caught is larger gizzard shad but have heard reports of smaller gizzards and even some threads being caught recently. Good luck to you nonetheless.
