Would like to hear the pros and cons of the 12 foot, four stage Talons. Will they really hold in like ten feet of water?

Talons are uber loud when deploying. Can anyone explain away how that might not spook the fish? From 300 ft away you can hear dual talons whining into the water. Just saying.

I just had two of them installed on Sunday. They are much quieter than the previous 8 foot model I had.

All the noise comes from the top of the talon.... How could that 4 seconds of noise scare any more fish than a a trolling motor prop continuously running if you didn't have them ?

Can you take off 8 footer and put 12 footer on the 8 footer brackets or do you have to have new brackets?

The new 12' Talons are a much better product than previous models. Lots of improvements all the way around.

Shallow water anchors are like Humminbird/Lowrance units. Get the biggest you can afford.
I would also think that the newer the model, the more improvements you will find on them.
