Back to back weekends with 9 lbr's! I better get skunked next weekend, or this could start going to my head... Yesterday's toad was especially sweet because it helped fellow TFF'r RickMB and I win the Lunker Hunters tournament, along with taking the Big Bass prize. Rick started us off right by putting 2 fish in the livewell in the first 15 minutes that went about 3.5 lbs each. I added one just short of 2 lbs about an hour later. Then this beauty capped it off around 9am. Shamefully, we couldn't buy a bite the rest of the morning to fill out our limit, but it turned out our 4 fish were enough to win anyway. And for those you (like myself) that have wondered about using light line & tackle...this fish was caught on 6lb test flouro and a 2/0 straight shank hook! I won't lie...it was a nerve-racking battle, but this time I prevailed. The small hook sets itself pretty much and I loosened the drag and let her take some line.

Temps mid lake were 67. That's the only area we fished Sunday.

Nice fish and congrats on the win. I saw that sweet [censored] Skeeter of yours pulling into Burger King or you could have been going to Schobels Sunday afternoon around 1:45. Good looking rig for sure.

Jwrinkle...we ended up at 18.2. I was so excited, I didn't really hear what 2nd was. I think 3rd was 12 and change, but I could be wrong. I know there was also a 8.5 fish, and 2 fish over 7 that were weighed. We were lucky that the first 2 fish Rick caught were both over 3.

Great job man. I have to admit 20 boats on that lake that fishes pretty small was nerve wracking. If you can put a bag together with that much pressure on the lake I think you are doing pretty good.
