I can't decide which one is better to get? I would like to hear opinions on them.

Motorguide has always been the follower. Stick with the proven Kota all the way

I just added an i-Pilot to my boat. It worked great. I am in a 24 foot center console with a big t-top, the wind was blowing 20 yesterday with 2 foot rolling waves and the spot lock was greatness. I also used the auto pilot and it worked equally as well. Of course, I don't know anything about the Motorguide.

I don't know a whole lot about the Motor Guide either. I have the iPilot and it is one fine piece of equipment. All my buddies who have upgraded their TM have gone with the iPilot.

Ipilot. Best thing is they stand behind their product. Within and a little after warrantee is out, they will take care of it no questions asked. I don't mind paying a little more for that. Hope they keep if that way.
I have had zero experience with motor guide.

If you need true gps and a very sturdy trolling motor shaft the Minn Kota is the best way to go. I have owned both and the motorguide is a good pond motor and a great motor for the price but if you can swing the extra money call David at shut up and fish and he will give you the best deal hands down.

Minn Kota i pilot will only with with Humminbird. And for that to work you have to a. Compatable Humminbitd unit along with the i pilot upgrade to the i pilot link. The Motorguide will work with the Lowrance units

They just came out. I think you have to order it. Not in stores yet.
