This COLD winter put a lid on what Tawakoni is famous for. Winter Deadsticking for big ole hybs, striper, and sandies. In fact I've trophy blue fished exclusively for the past 2 months cause that bite has simply been incredible this year. But just as all good things come to an end...the cold winter has also come to an end(for now ) and finally our low 40's water temps have transformed into upper 40 to 50+ degree temps. The striped brethren have taken notice and are on the prowl. Today if we saw fish they were hitting, no lite taps, smashing 4" RSR flukes on Stripaholic jigheads. This morning we had a 3 man limit at 9:30 then it was catch and release of 6-8lb hybs the rest of the day with some big ole sandies and perfect eating size blues thrown in. So it's time! If you've been waiting for The bite to bust loose...it has! Spring break is coming up and I've still got holes to fill. Give me a call. I'll post a few pics later. Gotta clean up the boat for tomorrow.

I catfished today. But while moving I couldn't help to talk my customers to try the hybs for a few. Took about 30 min to limit out then caught and released for another 30 then back to the blues.

What are the catfish hitting on?? Me and a friend went out about 4:30 and was at 2 mile bridge?? This is the 2nd time going to tawakoni so I don't know the lake. Didn't have any luck with shad, chicken liver,chicken heart or shrimp.
