Phantom has good crappie by what I've seen. I have only fished there one spring and summer but I found them shallow on the rocks. Used 1/16 jigs and nibbles.

Hello ksb and welcome to the forum. I have both of my kids going to school at Tech. I have fished Alan Henry a time or two and it is tough for crappie unless things have changed. The water is very clear and hard to sneak up on the fish. I have fished Phantom a lot and the crappie can be good especially shallow during the spawn. Other times you can find them on brushpiles and standing timber. Like crappie everywhere, finding them and getting them to bite are two different things. Best of luck to you and again. Welcome to the forum.

The water is still a little cold in Alan Henry. If you go up river (goto south from the ramp) you can find some warmer stained water. Hopefully the really cold weather is finished for the year and the lake will start warming up.
