He was my pick all along. He has a ton of experience on that lake and he has that killer instinct like KVD. Not only does he want to win but he wants to blow everyone out of the water. He also will win 1 if not 2 regular season Elite events too. Just watch. There is gonna be a serious balance of power swap going on. Guys like Tharp and Christie are gonna continue to make an impression and get some headlines.

Tharp told me back at the TTBC at Conroe he was going to win this classic. He had a strange level of confidence

Tharp is one of my favorite pros. The guy is a hammer, and just likes to fish.. I really enjoy his overall style as well!

He won the Open two weeks after the TTBC. I bet there were a lot of guys saying "oh no". Look for BASS to kill the Classic thru the Open route. The Elite guys will not be happy that he got in without the bigger monetary commitment of the Elite Series. He is in the Elite Series this year.

What a streak Tharp is on.....Don't forget he just won the Forrest Wood Cup on the Red River last summer....Winning the Classic a few months later is HUGE....

Tharp is schooling those guys this morning ,,, 8 lb lead now .. I think we will see him with both titles and he will win in both Tours this year.. He is in the Zone for sure.
