I left the whisker fish alone today and target redfish for the first time at Calaveras. Let me say I'll Do this again. I fished form 630 am to 830 am and was wore out. I landed 17 redfish in two hours and had a blast. The smallest went 21 inches and the biggest going 26 inches. I kept three for the table and released the rest obviously(limit 3. I left the camera at home but will be back at it again tommorow. I've never expeirenced reds like this. Completely awesome.Back to back casts..tore my rattle trap to pieces.
I can honestly say that since i have gottenback from the war..i have been blessed. I have caught more limits of cats, reds, specs and whites than ever before. It's been so much fu enjoying the outdoors.

Great job! I am confused are those freshwater reds? Calaveras is located near San Antonio isn't it? Native Texan should know better.... Glad your back home safely

Looks like a lot of fun. I have fished for reds in the gulf but never in fresh water. How do you catch the fresh water variety? What type lure and technique.

Thanks
