Any recommendations on a map of toledo bend that has some of the places mentioned here such as houssan bay, indian mounds, etc. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Both of those areas are on the southwest end of the lake. If you want to check them out online, www.Navionics.com and click the webapp tab. You can also purchase the Navionics smart phone app for 9.99 and view multiple lakes.

Thanks Zack. I looked at the navionics map and I didnt see those names listed. I may have overlooked them but I called myself looking pretty close. I have a navionics chip for my humminbird that I just bought. I hadnt looked at it yet because I thought it was the same as the online map. Any other suggestions? Thanks again

Houssan bay is on the very south end of the lake, Indain mound's is around the corner of six mile, it's at the tip of the left point of the same cove that the fin & feather is in.

dude, you are INCORRECT about everything you just told this gentlemen. Not trying to be rude, but don't give out information unless you know what you are talking about.

Housen is NOT on the very south end. Fin and Feather is in housen. Indian mounds is just north of housen and white oak; not 6mile.

To the OP. Looking at whatever map you may have, on the texas side moving from south to north the creeks are as follows. Indian, Buck, Mill, Hickory Ridge, 6Mile, Housen, White Oak, Indian Mounds bay, Jessie Lowe bay, Lowes creek, Palo Gaucho.

If a guy had never been to Toledo and was going to be there Saturday and Sunday where would you recommend fishing, South or North end? I am thinking about heading over to Fin and Feather to stay (If they have any rooms available). I have to confirm my work schedule tomorrow but it is looking pretty good to get to fish Toledo Bend for the fist time!!!

I WAS considering Rayburn but have read lots of things that say Toledo Bend would be better? Thoughts/opionions? I am pretty much open to either lake this week.

Thanks,

Joe

Joe, if you stay at Fin and Feather, you wont have to look far. Look north/northeast from the boat launch there at fin and feather. You'll see all the boats. There's a reason they are there. wink
