(the lake is 350 acres when at full pool and has a 50 boat minimum) What is a boat minimum? I think you mean maximum, and that pertains to boat boats, not kayaks, and I think that is a GOOD thing since the whole reason of moving from Ray Roberts was for safety reasons regarding too many boats... There's 78 camp sites as well as an overflow camping area. I don't think it's going to be as crowded as you think. You wanted to go to Lake Fork during Spring Break/prespawn yet are worried about Purtis Creek being crowded?!

The 10-March to 15-March Purtis is booked full. There might be a few of the hike in primitive sites available. Been booked for weeks due to spring break.
