Can anyone here give some ideas on what to do with broken rods?

I have 2 Castaway mediums 7' that had the top 3" to 4" broken off.
It was my fault on both occasions:

The first one, I rolled up the rear window while it was sticking out.
The second one, I grabbed the tip while bringing in a big bowfin.


I know I can fix them by removing the 2nd guide and replacing it with a new tip guide.
But they won't have the same feel.

Play swords

whippin sticks

classroom pointer sticks

flag handle

Button pusher if you lose the remote

lighting rod

Break again and throw in trash.

lol, okay.


I'm thinking of just fixing them and donating them away.

(Boy Scouts, Inner City Youth, or a Vet Program).

Keep them in the boat to back up the one that got away story.

I use one for my lure retriever.

you can take your rods back to castaway there on 105 in conre and they well give you two new rods

When I was a kid, I got peacock feathers from the zoo and would always sit in our body when it sat in the driveway and pretended I was fishing. I bet OP can do the same with his broken rod.

Use it to make sounds to attract fish.

Bust it off at 4-5 feet, and use it to pull weeds off your trailer when you come off the ramp.

glue a .50 cent eye on it, and trade it in at BPS

Buy a rod with lifetime warranty and return it when it gets broken for a new one
