Stopped by Brazos River Tackle this afternoon out west of downtown Weatherford and I was really impressed with their tackle. Grande Bass, Lake Fork Tackle, Gene Larew, Zoom, Crazy Angler, Bobby Garland, Lucky Craft, Robo Worms, Big Game line, Flourocarbon, Shimano reels, What few rods they have are 3 times as good as what Academy carries. They also cary minnows, and Beer. I know Academy won't be seeing me for a while.

Great customer service. Last year I called close to closing time to let them know I needed bait and was stuck on I-20. They agreed to stay open for me so I could load up on hooks and bait. And they sell minnows by the half pound or pound. Pretty reasonable prices.. I go out of my way to give them my business when I'm fishing close and would encourage all to do same.

As I sit here, noticing this post I am a wearing one of their caps. Fantastic place to stop. I buy minnows by the half pound or pound on my way to Palo Pinto. Bait is well bagged and healthy,.....noticed they have good selection of Hum-Dingers.
