Prior to yesterday last three trips were a complete blank not even a nibble. today we put in at twin points about 10 am. headed to midlake looking for warmer water and staging blacks. worked all midlake main and secondary points with no takers. water temps were about 46 to 47 degrees. about 1:30 we pulled up and headed north looking for warmer water. finally found some 52 to 54 degree water around some points but still no takers on blacks. after about 20 min. I down sized to a 3" white swimbait on a 1/4 oz. jighead and the race was on for the sand bass. worked points and shorelines 3' or less with heavy wind. had a great time we caught about 75 t0 80. didn't use clickers as we did not keep any fish. pulled up trolling motor at 4:45 and headed in. all fish were 12 to 15" and very fat. we didn't see and dead shad I guess the gulls already had it cleaned up. I'm getting too old for 6-7hours on trolling motor in high wind but it sure was fun.

That water temp came up a bunch since Sunday.
It was 43 to 45 every place I looked.
Nice job.
