thought I would give an update. Went there yesterday and launched with a friend. Checked all the normal spots that we have caught fish before. Nada, neither of us marked any fish. Used minnows and jigs tried shallow and deep. The creek channel is 9-12 foot deep still. Between the bend to go to the main lake and a couple of bends towards 377. once you get to those spots the water shallows up to 2 ft or less. Temp was 52 degrees and this time last year we were catching crappie in the creek channel readily. We saw very little bait and even fewer gar. Gar are usually very prevelant in the creek, but even they had seemed to dissapear. The only thing that there was no shortage of was beavers. Unless a miracle happens, dont count on fishing the creek this year.

This might be the weirdest, most pointless post ever. I am not against golf, since I cannot but suspect it keeps armies of the unworthy from discovering fishing

That stinks. I've been salivating watching that video of Thorpedo and Yaknaggie during the run.
Fish eat things. I'll put things in the water that fish like to eat. I'll attach these things to a hook, line, rod, and reel. How hard can this be?

I fished the creek this past Saturday, and current conditions are very similar to the pics in that thread ... water levels may be a few inches higher ... but not much. I was able to find a few crappie, but the ones there seem to be scattered and a tough bite for sure. I talked to several fishing, both bankers and yakkers, and they were having similar results to mine and I didn't find a person who had caught a single sand bass.
