Im wondering what kind of anchors to use on my 20ft pontoon. I use 15lb stockless in the front and back but still get pushed around by the wind or a current. Maybe I just need heavier anchors? how big are the typical anchors on a bass boat? thanks
Its better to burn out than to fade away 20ft pontoon baby!

We always had to use 2 20-25 lbers on my dads pontoon if there was very much wind. We also made sure to give plenty of rope out...

Box and "Digger" brand anchors-- You get away with a lighter weight with the digger brand but in both cases longer rope helps set the anchor.
What has happed to you does not define who you are-
HOW you react to what happens to you DOES!

We also made sure to give plenty of rope out... longer rope helps set the anchor. THiS ^^ I used a 10lb for the rear, and a digger for the front and never had an issue, it's all about length of rope

On your boat yes Mudshark, on a toon less that you need to with a digger, but the longer line creates a better angle to grab. A length of chain helps on the box anchor also.

maybe my main problem was not letting enough rope out.

It also depends on where you fish. A hard clay bottom like Lewisville has is hard to get anything to grab.
+1 on the chain and more rope.

How much chain do you guys recomend for the box anchor? And if you had to choose one which would it be? The box anchor or the digger?
How come I keep catching small fish when every product I buy is supposed to catch more and bigger fish?
