any one of them will do the job just fine, you just have to set it at the resolution settings that you want, you tube has a great deal of information on go pro and the settings, i have the hd2 silver and it takes great vids, you definately want to get extra batteries to film a good day, the battery i have in mine will only get about 2 hours of fishing, i would suggest getting at least two extra batteries or you can look into the battery back pak for extended vids.

You want to get at least the Silver. It is far and above the White Edition. The Black is awesome as well if you want the best.

I believe the black comes with a remote control and that would sure be a plus.

I was given the White Edition as an award, which is at the bottom of the pile. I like it. The Silver is the next step up and the Black is at the top of the heap. I mount mine on my Stabilizer on my bow. A great view of what I shoot at. Good luck to you.

Something to watch for if you order from Cabela's:

I ordered the black 3+ on black Friday with $75 cabelas bucks (deal is still ongoing) but in the box today there was no code/gift card, called and they had to manually issue and snail mail it to me.

Best of luck, I love watching the creative footage people are putting together!!

Silver is closest to gopro h2 black, white is lightly better than the h2 silver. althought the data rates are only slightly different 24 compared to 22 mbps. The black is 28 mbps and the black3+ is freaky awesome at 35 mbps.

Still doesn't make a ton of difference unless you get the black 3+, because YouTube will still compress youfile down to about 8mbps at 1080p. The sensor in that model is awesome.

If your using it for personal use and online stuff the white is fine. You don't need a remote control download the app on iPhone and use it to control the camera.

Get batteries on amazon. They're a knockoff brand but much cheaper and work as well.

I got the black and love it. It also works great to "look" under water if the clarity is good. you would be surprised at what is lurking around your favorite brush pile when you can't get a bite...
