ARghhhhhhh....my jack in my 2006 Silverado (Chevy) will NOT work.... I sure will re-think my floor roll around jack vs a bottle jack though! Sounds like much smaller footprint! Have not had to use but, eventually it WILL happen and just want to be prepared thanks I keep a bottle jack in the tool box of my truck. The jack from my truck works fine but it is a lot faster and easier to use a bottle jack.

Triangle brand tires from Cowser Tire! Yep. I would call Kevid Davis the owner of Cowser Tire he's a fellow fisherman and will take great care of you he's on the service road at 820 and Blue Mound in North Ft Worth. The number is 817-625-8473 Sounds like moto382 will make you a great deal too...

You guys would be surprised where most tires are manufactured. BTW, Kumho is a South Korean company. Not sure how that is better than China? The Marathons manufactured after 2010 have no white on the side wall. Never had any issues with them since they corrected the problem of the belt seperating. I'm not saying South Korea is better. I'm saying that one brand that used to be really good moved manufacturing from the US to China and have had numerous quality issues since. If you don't believe me, do a google search. The correct pressure IS NOT a fix to belt separation issues. As for Kumho, they're rated for 90 mph and a D load range, which is better than most other boat trailer tires. To me, that means I can go 75 mph on I-30 and not worry about being outside of the manufacturer's spec range. Most C-load tires like the GY Marathon are rated for the speed limit on most of our highways. Why would you consider using those tires considering the quality and rating issues compared to far superior tires like the Kumho or Carlisle that cost roughly the same amount?

I run tires from Discount Tire (Carlisle) never had a problem and when I did Discount tires are easy to find and they are good to deal with if you have an issue. I carry a floor jack, it is much easier to get under the trailer axle and has a wider footprint for uneven surfaces. At least it has worked for me for years.

One last recommendation-----have the proper lug nut wrench. I had a flat Saturday. My truck wrench didn't fit the trailer nuts. I had to drop the trailer and stay with it until my buddy drove to town to pick up the proper wrench. Lesson learned--the hard way

+1 another one of the first things I also bought!! small floor jack will work, just have a rag wrapped around it so it doesn't roll around too much. Dang thing still moves. Thinking of the bottle jack that was mentioned ....LOL, Harbour Freight special One last recommendation-----have the proper lug nut wrench. I had a flat Saturday. Carlisle is a great tire. It's put on most major bass boat trailers for a reason. Ranger, Triton, Stratos, etc..

Tow Masters are what I replace mine with when the factory tires wear out. Great tires for trailers and they are a 6 ply also. Best I have seen IMO.

ah, my boat is only 17 1/2', single axle. Is a 6 ply tire recommended for something that small? Sorry, fiberglass, Stratos with 90HP motor. Not a 'LOT' of weight but sure not a metal boat either. Ya'll have me wondering now.... 6ply or just 4ply tires? I get much more weathering than I do road use...

Running the towmasters on my boat too. While I like to save money as much as the next guy, who really cares what they cost of they are good tires. Why do we shop for cheap tires for a rig that costs thousands of dollars? If my truck gets torn up it bothers me. If my boat gets torn up. .. I'm gonna need an intervention. .

I love my Carlisle Radials. Smoothest rolling tire I have ever had on a trailer.
Lee...I carry a small hydraulic bottle jack and a couple of 1" x 6" boards about a foot long. Only used them on a utility trailer. It will fit the boat trailer, just never had a flat. I get them at cost so only $86 each and I bought a lite aluminum floor jack at Advance Auto, fits in the tool box easily !
