 2000 feet of the SPI Jetty closed!!!

When the South Padre Surf Cam puts it's photo on my PC, I don't see anyone fishing out on the Jetty. Is the work being done now and have they closed the Jetty from admittance? Just wondering........what's going on out there.

OK, never mind...I found out the answer myself. The jetties are being worked on and there is no access to the last 2000 feet of the SPI Jetty due to jetty repair going on and should be concluded by May, 2014! Just in case anyone else wants to know before going there. You can fish the remaining 2000 feet toward land.
