If you drive in manual mode (M5) AFM is not activated.
and neither is 6th gear. You can get a programmer and turn AFM off.

No doubt there are some lemmons out there. GM as well as all the other can have and do make them. I believe that a lot of failures are caused by owner/operators neglect/driving habits etc. X2 100% sure it wasn't caused by neglect. Ol red gets her oil changed on schedule and she definitely isn't a hotrod. Not like I drive much either. If you drive in manual mode (M5) AFM is not activated.
and neither is 6th gear. You can get a programmer and turn AFM off. This might be something to look into after I get it fixed; AFM makes my after market exhaust sound funny anyways.

I've heard nothing but bad things about the Silverados that have AFM. I have a 2012 and have had zero issues with AFM or anything else for that matter.
Snowflakes and entitled brats will be the doom of America!

Is this an issue on the 2014? I read somewhere that they made an improvement to oil delivery somewhere way or how that is supposed to cure it, but cant remember, its been a while.
