I was nervous to go for that pure reason! Damn. Well congrats to the man who won it! banana I waited until around 11 before I hit the water, fished all day and threw everything I could think of and had one trite and all that was was probably perch pulling on my jig trailer. This weathers ridiculous. hooked

Congrats Todd. How many anglers competed? What were the water temps y'all were seeing? I'm curious how much the water warmed up since I was there Thursday. I really hope we have a warm spell between now and the RRs tournament or else I'm afraid it will be much of the same. RRs fishes very tough until the water hits the upper 50's IMO.

Dan, they are cancelling RR b/c of the Cabelas Texas Team Trail event will be on the same day. Looks like the next on is on Purtis Creek then Hubbard.

Purtis creek will be really crowded for this event. I imagine at least 30 kayakers and a park full of people camping and fishing during spring break (the lake is 350 acres when at full pool and has a 50 boat minimum). I know it's too late now but if I had it to do all over again I would have suggested Amon Carter instead of Fork.

One other thing about Purtis is they militarily against anyone in the park drinking beer or alcohol.

I've camped there once and the lady that worked there told us we were fine to drink beers if they were in solo cups... perhaps we have different definitions of "militarily". cheers
