Before I am grilled here, just thinking out loud, but could you ever see bass fishing as a medal event in the Summer Olympics?....I mean who would've ever thought that shuffleboard on ice (curling) would be in the Olympics?.....or synchronized swimming?....what are your thoughts? ....

I'm sure people would think we are complete idiots for doing that. Lol they laugh while I look and them and say who cares about curling or any of the other boring sports that are in the Olympics

That would be awesome but it probably just wouldn't fly right off the bat because of the animal rights idiots and also there are not enough countries that have bass available to them and all the goobers that run the Olympics would not allow it just because they know it would be American dominated. The only other country that has a serious bass fishing community is Japan. Maybe someone could put together a true "World Championship". I know there was a guy from south Africa used to fish BASS So you could atleast have the U.S., South Africa, Japan and Mexico? Man you got me brainstorming!

Really good idea!!! Not sure in my lifetime but, man, that would be great to watch. See how others world wide woul d approach and their catches......

I say we leave well enough alone. Lakes are overly crowded as it is and last thing we need is more BS on the water. Fishing is a participation sport not a spectator sport.

Never. Fishing is not a sport no matter how hard people try to call it that. The hardest part about fishing is standing up all day. That is why I love to do it. To relax.

Olympics never, although an American flag wrapped boat would be awesome! I would think the world cup concept would be great, like golf or sailing. I'd watch it.

Fishing is a hobby/activity/excuse to drink cold beer, a lot like golf it's not really a sport. As much as some want it to be a sport, anything a 60 y/o with a huge beer gut and bad ticker can do everyday, will never be a sport....
